Appliance Rebate Program

Wednesday, Mar 31, 2010 – Appliance Rebate Program Will Help Hundreds of Arkansas Families Cut Energy Costs The Arkansas ENERGY STAR Appliance Rebate Program is open and helping to improve residential energy efficiency, provide tangible financial savings for Arkansas families, and preserve the environment of the Natural State.

As of March 31, nearly 600 rebates have been approved and another 1,600 are being processed.

Even though program funds are finite, there’s still time to replace an old appliance with a new qualifying appliance and save hundreds of dollars. But, you better hurry!

Dateline 2/2009  The Arkansas Renewable Energy Association operates using Intuit QuickBase.  Intuit QuickBase is a database management program created to allow custom configuration.  They let their users and application engineers offer improvements.  That makes the update curve continuous.  Choosing Intuit QuickBase as our database on the cloud is the best decision we made.  By choosing Intuit QuickBase AREA is only limited by our imagination regarding our cloud computing needs.  Operations responsibilities are coordinated, easily delegated and integrated.   Access is from any internet connected computer.  That means you may not have to “go to the office.”

If you are not using Intuit QuickBase and need an integrated database management system to manage your information flow you can skip over so many other choices and go right to the ultimate in database management systems.  The use of database management systems is nothing new.  Software vendors have installed many options within the computing world.  There are still MSDOS systems in current use.

With Intuit QuickBase you can start from scratch with as little as an existing spreadsheet or choose a fully integrated application and customize it further to suit your needs.  AREA chose to start with an application solution pre-developed for non-profit organizations from Crystal Bay Solutions.  Working with Cullen Coates at Crystal Bay Solutions was virtually seamless.  Cullen made sure that we had our needs met within a short amount of time.

If you want to leap frog from where you are to where you need to be with your integrated information architecture you really should check into Intuit QuickBase to see for yourself.  It’s the ultimate in cloud computing and Crystal Bay Solutions at www.crystalbaysolutions.com may be able to help you get on your cloud sooner!

Dateline 3/2010  The state energy office appears to be close to rolling out incentives to promote the adoption of renewable energy technologies.  Program is projected to provide a per kWh incentive for solar electric, wind and biomass technologies.  Solar thermal DSHW systems will earn a rebate based on collector area.  Rebate program will be funded with $2M of federal stimulus dollars.  More details made available upon announcement of program.

Dateline 11/2009   AREA approved as ASES chapter.  The American Solar Energy Society recently approved AREA as a state chapter.  We are excitied about the growing network of allied professionals and continue to reach out to those interested in advancing sustainable energy practices.
