Thank you for visiting our site. At Arkansas Renewable Energy Association (AREA) our activities are designed to encourage energy independence and environmental sustainability using alternative sources of energy such as solar, wind, hydro, biomass, and geothermal energy systems.

Area is a non-profit, volunteer organization. Our Board of Directors is comprised of volunteers who are professional people with industry related training or other skills that will help accomplish its goals.

AREA is an ASES Chapter.

In mounting the Renewable Energy Feed-In-Tariff (REFIT) effort, we garnered contacts and support from all over the state and realized that it was time to take AREA to the next level. To that end, we have received our 501(c)3 status as a federal non-profit organization. To go along with this we have become an Arkansas chapter of the American Solar Energy Society.   If you are interested in joining AREA in one capacity or another, please let us know your interest level. A united effort in our mutual cause of expanding the adoption rate of renewable energy systems will create a greater likelihood of success.
